Health Communication Project

Health Communication Slideshow  By: Kim, Sophie and Maddie

Slide 1: Having eye contact has a sign of understanding If you were to have eye contact with your friends then it shows you are listening and understanding. If you were to talk to a person in general, it would be a good idea. Eyes are the doors to emotion, you can see the emotions of sadness, happiness, anger, guilt and many more. You can use the knowledge of emotion in people's eyes to know what is right to say and what you two can elaborate/talk about

Slide 2: Whenever you arrive in a new school, or when you want to make friends it’s a good idea to take a risk and go say hi. It doesn’t hurt to try and communicate with someone new and maybe even become best friends. Share your opinion on things even though they may not share it, it still gives you something to talk about Why? Helps you grow, can learn from risk taking, takes steps out of your comfort zone, vulnerable, makes the recipient feel good, comfortable.

Slide 3: Try to look at the other person’s point of view so that its easier to compromise. When you aren’t sympathetic and understanding it is very hard to have any communication. It’s really hard to understand, your friend's or family’s opinion or decision. but being understanding makes both of you have a better communication and have a good friendship. or relationship.

Slide 4: Supporting each other is really important to have a good friendship. Friends need support, and it helps with communicating with each other. Supporting someone is showing someone that you care what their doing a support them. Makes your friend feel great to feel like someone is supporting them. That makes the bond of you guys’ friendship stronger, and communicating better too.

Slide 5: Even the most tight knit friendships have horrible fights and it’s crucial to learn how to say sorry when you are in the wrong. But even though you know how to say sorry, of course you need to know how to forgive. Forgiving someone and saying sorry can fix a broken relationship. It might even make your friendship stronger when you guys both know that when either of you did something wrong, you guys will go through the fight. Apologising and Forgiving is a type of communication to help you build your friendship. Apologising shows the other person that you care and want to repair whatever you did wrong, which would make your friend feel better and forgive you.

  1. My name is Julia. I was especially impressed with how you made your points useful. You might have improved explaining why on your slides. The strategy that I would most likely use is supporting each others ideas because it is important to collaborate to communicate better with your friends. The strategy I would least likely use is "Eyes are the doors to emotion" because I didn't understand what it meant.
